Kee Safety has designed and installed bespoke access platforms and steps for Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS).
Dubai Air Navigation Services provides Dubai Airports with all the specialist aviation services needed to help safely maximise the capacity and throughput of aircraft, passengers, and cargo at both Dubai International and Al Maktoum International.
The platforms have been made from Kee Klamp slip-on galvanised steel fittings and tube, and Kee Lite anodised aluminium fittings and tube.
DANS, the independent air navigation services provider, required a bespoke safety solution to provide a safe method of conducting maintenance work to access three LIDAR’s scanners. Each site was unique and our Kee Klamp and Kee Lite access platforms have been designed to address their needs and requirements.
The 3 LIDARs scanners that have been installed are used to detect and collect wake data for passing aircraft. Wake turbulence is turbulence that forms behind an aircraft as it passes through the air. The data from the LIDARs can be used to have a positive effect on safety and capacity and could significantly reduce airport delays.
