In 1934, we invented Kee Klamp® tubular fittings for use in the agriculture industry. Following the development of these simple safety barrier systems, many other uses were found.
Kee Klamp® Creates Superior Safety Railing
Our steel fittings are hot-dipped galvanised so every connection remains solid and lasts for decades. All fittings go through a rigorous quality control processes that includes detailed inspections through the manufacturing process. The result is incredible longevity and strength.
Simple to Adapt
Kee Klamp® is modular so it can be easily configured and installed precisely to your needs. Railings come in a variety of galvanised steel or aluminium finishes. The guardrail accommodates toeboards, in-fill panels, or safety gates, while exceeding world class safety standards, including EN and OSHA compliance.
Easy to Install and Repair
There are no special tools or labour needed to install Kee Klamp® railings. All components are secured with just a hex set-screw. Because of its modular design, the railing can easily be modified by simply cutting it to size. It’s also easy to repair a damaged section by simply removing and replacing it.
The Kee Klamp system exceeds EN and OSHA regulations and compliance so you can be assured your safety railing ticks all the relevant codes.
With its highly versatile and flexible modular design, our railing can be configured to the exact specifications of your site.
Kee Klamp guardrail is galvanised inside and out with a proprietary coating to guarantee corrosion resistance, even in the toughest environments.
The slip-on components come together easily and are firmly locked in place with hexagon set screws. It means you don’t require any specialised labour or tools.

The Kee Klamp Component
The engineering principle behind the Kee Klamp® fitting is the foundation of the most versatile tube connection system available. There are many variations of tubular fittings to suit a wide range of applications, providing the versatility to achieve any structural configuration.
Kee Klamp was Kee Safety's very first product invented by George H. Gascoigne and his colleagues to create a safety barrier in cow milking stalls. Since then the company has produced over 100 million fittings, many of which are still in use today. A testament to the longevity of his design.
Highest standards for on the ground safety
Made of galvanised cast iron to BS EN ISO 1461
Components are TÜV certified for strength, manufacturing quality and consistency
Robust quality inspection procedure conforming to ISO 9001
Fittings galvanised to BS 729 (ISO 1461) and ASTM A153 which can last for over 30 years
Manufactured in accordance with BS EN 1562 & BS EN 1563
The two are often used interchangeably, however, guardrail is used at the perimeter of an edge or fall hazard and acts as a barricade or protection against the fall. A handrail is also used to prevent a fall, however, it is generally used on a sloped surface, such as a stair or ramp.
OSHA states that guardrail must reach a height of 42 inches (give or take 3 inches) above the walking-working surface and withstand a force of 200 lb at any point in a downward or outward direction. Should the force cause the railing to dip below 39 inches, the railing is not OSHA compliant. Parapets or railings that are pre-existing are acceptable at a minimum of 36 inches under OSHA code 55 Federal Register 13360, siting that replacing the parapet or railing would introduce unnecessary risk to the workers replacing it. In addition, if there is no parapet or wall that reaches 21 inches in height the installed railing will require midrails, screens, solid panels, or similar.
Our galvanized fittings are designed to last 30+ years in outdoor environments. Some 60+ year old fittings can still be spotted in State and National Parks across the US, including Niagara Falls and the Adirondack region of New York.
With Kee Klamp components, you can build various tubular structures such as railing, racking, retail store fixtures, soft contained play systems, awning, fencing, machinery framework, and 1001 other applications.
Kee Klamp fittings are galvanised to BS 729 (ISO 1461) and ASTM A153 which can last for over 30 years. Kee Klamp grub screws are treated with our Kee Koat® corrosion protection. The fitting recesses are also coated with our factory applied, ThredKoat® (patented) corrosion resistance.
The basics of installing Kee Klamp structures is simple – an hex key is all that is needed to tighten the set-screw and lock the fitting in place. From there any structure or railing system can be build, which is why we commonly refer to them as “tinker toys for adults.” For product-specific installation instructions please view the resource section of that product page.
An independent laboratory has tested Kee Klamp fittings on terms of load capacity and vibration resistance. Using these results, we have developed a series of structural design guidelines that must be followed when building with Kee Klamp fittings. These can be found in the Kee Klamp Catalogue.
We offer full design and installation services that include a complete on-site survey. We also produce comprehensive shop drawings to help you visualise the end result. With our detailed project outline, you can be confident that your project is professionally specified, and that all safety concerns and standards are addressed to your satisfaction.
