Work Platforms Providing Safe Access to Rooftop HVAC Equipment Installed for Community College

Kee Safety was contacted by Cerro Coso Community College in USA over concerns that contractors were using a series of plywood ramps and staging to access rooftop HVAC equipment. We designed a series of work platforms to provide safe access to the tasks that were required by workers.

Customer required 7 unique platforms to safely service their HVAC Equipment

Background

Serving nearly 5,000 students, Cerro Coso Community College is a public community college in the Eastern Sierra / Upper Mojave Desert region of Southern California, USA. The college was concerned that contractors were using a series of plywood ramps and staging to access rooftop HVAC equipment.

Seven large platforms, all with a different configurations were approved for installation. Our Regional Sales Manager visited site alongside our Technical Manager to evaluate and design each platform. Due to time constraints and the remote location, each platform would have to be built on site.
